Big Head
DC's Rob Capriccioso emailed this AM to point out a blog at the Dallas Voice that
gives another summary of what is so far
either just a liberal wet dream or a race to the signing-bonus tell-all
finish line. One of the red herrings here may be Hustler publisher
Larry Flynt's $1 million offer to any snitch whose published snitching
leads to the downfall of a Capitol Hill moral hypocrite. The Hustler intimates
to the Voice's
Webb that it has some goods on Lott, but doesn't necessarily want to
spend the cash on more "investigation" (God forbid) or paying
informants for a story they might not publish since Lott has already
resigned. (Raising the question in here somewhere: Can you buy a better
democracy? Also, should someone ask Flynt, whose company claims to have
"lots of information on lots of different people" but says it's only
interested in busting hypocrites, if you really can play J. Edgar
Hoover as a good guy?)

first roundup of the Lott-Nicholas media courtship here.
