OK — it’s
Thursday. It’s late. You’ve probably made your
plans for tomorrow … or have you? (That’s my last Rita
Skeeterism of the post, Scout’s honor.) What I’m
getting at, rather badly, I’d say, is that the new Sigur Ros
film Heima
will
be showing at 1100 Broadway (that’s at the corner of Broad
& Jones) at 8pm. 180 Grams will be proffering Heima dvds and hvarf-heim cds at the show.
A little about the film: Heima, meaning “at
home” in Icelandic, was produced over two weeks when the band
performed a string of free surprise concerts in various unusual spots
all over their home country. The documentary-style film is helmed by Lilo & Stitch director Dean Deblois.
Have fun and happy holidays!
