Here we are again: testing out our promotional goodies like responsible
adults. In this episode, Ashley, Chuck, and Chris try to make the most
of a kite sent by none other than the clever Kite Runner
marketing folks. (Awww.) Unfortunately, the wind was sort of
... circular
... today.
A lot of inspirational things were said during the actual flight
attempts, but none more moving to the core than Chuck's dramatic
reading of the kite-flying instructions, which were included with the
kite, and which I have attached here:
Here we have Ashley getting acquainted with kite in the Current's stylish,
worn-asphalt parking lot. (Note the lovely ruby-tinged trees behind
her. Yes, those leaves were dancing.)
Next up: Ashley attempts to run ... eerrrr ... launch kite.
After several failed flight attempts, Chuck became entangled in kite's
tail and string.
Chuck eventually worked himself free, just in time to assist
expert-kite-flyer-in-residence (and altogether fun publisher) Chris
Sexson.
When even Chris's glorious effort came to nothing, we got back to
making the news ...
... until the next goodie-box arrives, anyway.
