Haha. Whew boy! There's a little Faulkner humor for you. Any English majors in the house. No? OK, let's just pretend that never happened. There are at least three things going on this week on the local music scene that didn't make it into Wednesday's paper.
First off, Viet Ruse and Nada Mas Basura are selling barbecue plates at the American Legion Pavillion in Somerset Saturday to finance their upcoming summer tour. Here's the poster:
Second local metal mainstays Brotherhood (check out the video at the top of the page, are looking for a new vocalist. The requirements (taken from Brotherhood's MySpace page, are listed below:
** Must be between the ages of 21-28** (we are sponsored by Jagermeister must be 21 at least)
**Must have own PA and Transportation** (we practice off of 281 & Thousand Oaks)
**Must be able to practice 2-3 times per week**
**Must be able to Tour as much as possible** (when not on tour we play a minimum of 6 shows a month)
**Must be ready to record a full length album in August**
Tryout Requirements: We
have 2 blank instrumental tracks posted on the site, listen to them
write your own lyrics and patterns to them, then hit us up and let us
know when you are ready to tryout. If need be, let me know if you need the tracks emailed to you and I will send them over so you can burn them to a cd.
