U.S. Representative Charlie Gonzalez is getting it on all sides these days.
Public Citizen ambushed the unsuspecting Congress member in the midst of King William revelry a week ago (it makes for great video!) to demand strong climate action.
Today, a group mobilized by MoveOn.org and Texas Climate Emergency (featured in the Current recently) will be gathering on Durango to help steer the Congressman’s mind regarding proposed renewable energy legislation, the Clean Energy and Security Act.
As a cadre of energy activists bend the man’s ear indoors, there is expected to be a rally by street-level protestors on Durango to accentuate their point.
In case you didn’t get the memo, folks are gathering outside the Federal Building at 4 p.m. [727 E Durango, San Antonio, TX 78206]
But even if the Gonz cancels his meeting and closes his blinds, he’ll still find himself battered by the message in the box.
VoteVets.org have a television spot running in San Antonio this week featuring Texas Iraq War veteran Patrick Bellon, who is quoted in a press release saying:
